The mic on
Got me feeling good
Got me feeling nice
Got me on a roll
Got me shooting dice
Come and shoot them low
Come and shoot them high
Hold on now, baby
Got me looking long
Got me looking long
Got me in the stew
Got me in the bowl
Got me feeling hot
If you're feeling good, can you give me a yeah
Take me on a ride with my with my hands in the air
We be kicking hope, living like we don't care
How we gonna know it
How we get along
If you're feeling good well then I need to know
If you're feeling heavy, well give me a call
Dem be shooting ducks just switching clothes
It really shows
Show me more
Not another maybe
I was thinking I want more
Not another day
Got me feeling good
Brought me to my knees
I was thinking I want, I want more
Got me feeling good
Brought me to my knees
I was thinking I want, I want more
Got me feeling good, got me feeling chosen
Got me in my loot, got me feeling golden
I've been feeling grateful
I've been feeling golden
Sun on the way sun on the way
On my face
I'm a do the money holler
Make it dance, make it dance
Make it dance for me
Run again, run again, run again
Run again low key
You be making me loco
I wish you well
You be making me loco
I could light you a fire
Oh I aim to inspire
Don't get it confused
I'm still your muse
My love is intangible
Kept you warm, but I'm feeling your tone
Slick tongue boy you been bold
I could be cold so cold
Don't get scared if I ask for intentions
I got more than love and affection
Empty glass, got me feeling real reflective
Watch me go, I can change your perspective
I'll spend my time time on ya (I'll spend my time)
I'll need that in return (I'll need that back)
I've been losing my mind oh, my mind oh
Make it dance for me
Run again, run again, run again
Run again low key
You be makin' me loco, I wish you well
You be makin' me loco

Blue skies in the middle of the day
And I pray, that we never have to make that mistake again
Wish I wasn't so afraid back then
But I'm here and we're still in the clear my friend
Just believe you got the juice to the tip
But I never had to fool for the win, no
And I wouldn't ever go for the trade
Got me in a, got me in a blue suede
You you you you don't know me
But we'll drive in so slowly
You you you you don't know me
But we're moving so smoothly
Come in, come in, come in, come in like you own it
Own it, on it, roll it, get another going
Flowing, flowing gotta have my potion flowing
(I gotta have my potion)
I don't got the time
Can we press rewind (Can we press rewind)
It's about the time I grow up
It's about the time I roll up
It about the time I dine dine dine
It's about the time I'm fine fine fine
On God I'm
Bluer than the blue sea
Bluer than the who me
I be going through three
Maybe in about four minutes
I be going bout to heaven
I be going bout sky high
I be going bout dream sending
Dream sending
Wrote it down before I had a disk
I ain't never stress on what it is
Asking how much deeper can it get
Abyss it's abysmal with pen
Only time enlightenment exist
That battle within I'm reading some books
We been far but still we in the hood
Set a bar I hope it's understood
I kept it running ain't dumb it down
That process harder, even Ann Arbor
Failing my classes ain't think I'd take it much farther
At least where I wanted to have it
Thinking I'm average internal it's getting much darker
But I ain't forming no habit
Shifting down road it ain't no automatic
Fell on my own hands filled with some callous
Plenty known capping
We ain't just living by captions
I been afraid of this acting
Admittedly how the pictures speak
Pitching dreams pillar high
They picking me
Sympathize, penalize with enemies
Karma taking care of what I didn't see
It ain't been fair but I did the least
Hard to care I seen ya energy
Third Carter
Writing my first now turned martyr
It can be person to person
How we deal with struggles it's subtle that curve sharper
Move through the sword and the flame
Riding down Curtis and GreenView
I made them trips everyday
That's how I built up my strength
See its blue skies with rain
Even with suede
I grin at new things
Know that it's insane
To put weight on these rings
The world is looking bigger
They only respect figures
It's making me vain
Everything on repeat
Need a sec to release
Sometimes I just don't respond
Think it's time to retreat
Heart is on an ah off beat
Can you just pass the blunt
I know I got the green light
I know that flow is just right
This shit requires faith (Ya, ya, ya)
Slipping on puddles of gold
Won't you just give me a toast
This didn't happen in a day
No, no, no, oh

I've been feeling the blues now
Are you still my boo now
Got me swimming in my feelings (yeah)
Learning lessons and more (aye aye aye)
I feel the grass, and I believe in
The present tense of life
Just rest your head
You must be tired
So eager to leave
Bye bye bye
Well who's that said
We must be
Things you won't accept
Got me swimming in my feelings
Learning lessons and more (I got the blues)
I feel the grass, and I believe in
The present tense of life
These walls fall down from war in our sounds
I hold to you but our love falls through
All that's left is us, surrounded by the dust
And I hold to you
But our love falls through
Got me sinking in emotion
Love falls through
I've been pouring my soul
With the feet in the ocean
I take the time to feel it all
Our love falls through
Our love falls through
Ahh
Ahh

Chicago neo-soul/R&B trio TheLoveofPpl. returns with an ultra-smooth care package of diversely soulful offerings, spanning genres from Afro-beats to old-school Chicago soul and just about everything in between. Made up of vocalists Blake Davis, Anai Akuei, and producer Blank Face Villain, TheLoveofPpl. are as forward-thinking as they are retro-reminiscent, a daring combo of old and new that is sure to find a sweet spot in the heart of any R&B-heads. Putting the emphasis on the blues in R&B, FLUX BLEUS is the ultimate reminder to take a breath, slow down, and just enjoy the music.
“FLUX BLEUS (translated to blue flows) is a story of time and maturation. Built with organic song structures evolved from our own introspection, our sonics were influenced by our history just as much as our ambition. From playfully dancing over syncopated Afro-beat rhythms, to rapping over reversed guitar samples, we put pieces of who we are, what we love, and where we want to go in one brilliant flow.”
Blake, Anai, and Blank Face
Kicking off the 3 pack is the bouncy and intimate cut “INTENTIONS” that borrows the tonal percussion of island beats and perfectly vibe-inducing keys for a smooth and catchy opening track. Focus track “BLU SKIES'' is a slowed, reverberating banger. Featuring the syrupy voice of Davis sliding into a memorable hook, the song is further assisted by a verse from rising Brooklyn-based rapper G. King. Akuei ends the track with a bittersweet verse/outro that lingers long after the track’s runtime has terminated. Closing track “PRESENT TENSE” is a sleek and masterful throwback to the classic Chicago soul & blues upon which TheLoveofPpl.’s sound is built. It features devilishly polished verses from both Blake and Anai and wistful violin melodies by Blank Face Villain, an accomplished violinist in his own right, having recently played alongside Johan Lenox on the Chicago leg of his tour.
